IGFA Junior Atlantic Blue Marlin World Record holder Sean Mendonca, along with teammates Clint Quong Sing, Mark Vilain, Derrick Tardieu & Lydia Mendonca spent the last 4 days representing Trinidad and Tobago, and the TTGFA 29th International Marlin Madness Tournament at the IGFA Offshore World Championships in Cabo san Lucas, Mexico.

Last year Sean Broke the Trinidad and Tobago record and subsequently was awarded the IGFA Junior World Record for Atlantic Blue Marlin with his catch of 890lbs.  (See Jr.Record) The young crew began the last day of the IGFA World Championships tied for first place, however tough competition and a slow bite left them slowly slipping in the ranks as the day progressed.

One the first day Mark Vilain had one Striped Marlin Release and Clint Quong Sing had two Striped Marlin Releases, leaving their team ranked 3rd overall for that day.  On the Second day Clint Quong Sing had two Striped Marlin Releases once again, and their team was ranked 12th for that day. On the Third day Sean and Clint each had a Stripe Marlin release and their team was ranked 9th for that day.

At the end of the Fourth and Final day they had 1 release that day, to total 8 releases over the event.  This left the team in 4th place overall and Clint Quong Sing managed to get 3rd place in the Best Angler category.

Congrats boys, you represented well!
