Par-T-Time Wins 19th Annual St.Lucia Billfish Tournament!
This Sunday evening the Crew of Par-T-Time arrived home at the TTYC with a lot to celebrate. Owned by Robert Stauble, and Captained by Graham Barber, the 53′ Viking Sportfisher that has proven time and again to raise fish finally took home the top honors at a regional billfish tournament.
Most billfish tounaments come down to the wire on the last day to determine the winner, in this case it was won almost before it even started! The crew of Par-T-Time released two Blue Marlin quickly on the first day and nervously waited out the rest of the tournament to see if any other crew would be able to better their performance. No crew managed to.
This victory was a long time coming as two years ago this crew placed a close second in this same tournament and last year they placed a close second to the legendary “Hard Play” team in the Grenada Billfish Tournament where the Par-T-Time crew boasted a grand slam that included four sailfish, and that was just one day of fishing!
Having now succeeded in taking first place, the crew has received a well deserved invitation to the IGFA Offshore Fishing Championships 2010, to be hosted in Cabo san Lucas, Mexico next May. They also return to Trinidad with Best International Boat and Best Female Angler Awards in tow, not to mention a boat load of insane prizes! Well done fellas!
More detailed information to come, including the full standings and how it affects the Caribbean Watermans Challenge 2009!
